Recladding Cost in NZ
What recladding a home costs in the Waikato, and what's involved.

Recladding is a major job — but for a leaky or weathertight-failed home it's one of the most valuable things you can do. Here's a guide to the cost and what you're paying for.
Typical ranges
Recladding is usually priced on the area of cladding and the extent of damage underneath. As a broad guide, a full house reclad in the Waikato commonly runs from around $80,000 into the low-to-mid hundreds of thousands, depending on size, the cladding system and how much framing repair is needed once the old cladding comes off.
What's involved
- Removing the failed cladding and assessing the damage underneath
- Repairing framing, building wrap and flashings
- Replacing damaged joinery where needed
- Re-cladding with a modern, durable, correctly detailed system
- Getting the weathertightness signed off
