This was a large job with a small time window. Korakonui School was well overdue a toilet upgrade given they were dated when the principle went to the school and hadn’t been touched since.
The boys and girls toilet blocks were completely gutted and all drains moved to allow for the construction of 6 individual single occupancy toilets. These are designed so that only one student can enter at a time and allows maximum supervision of students by teachers for safety as well as providing privacy and personal space for the students.
In addition the toilet upgrade, there was also a store room that was remade into an office, updates to joinery in several classrooms, a new pump shed and a ventilation system installed to the pool shed.
All work completed in the Christmas break and ready for school to reopen in February 2024.
